SUFFOLK -- Police are investigating a home invasion in the city of Suffolk.

The break in happened Wednesday night, just days after someone broke into an elderly woman's Chesapeake home and attacked her.

Police aren't linking the two just yet, but the latest crime happened around 9 p.m. Wednesday off of Huntersville Place.

Police say two people broke into the home while the family was inside. The two people eventually ran away and nothing was stolen.

"You don't expect that to happen when everyone is home," said neighbor Crystal Richey. "It's pretty scary."

Neighbors tell 13News Now the homeowner was taken away in an ambulance Wednesday, but police have not confirmed an actual attack.
