SUFFOLK -- Shots rang out in a Suffolk neighborhood Wednesday as kids were getting off the school bus.
Neighbors reported hearing gunfire near College Drive around 4 p.m. Suffolk Police investigated but no suspects were located.
One resident was inside, sitting on the couch, when he said he heard nine to ten shots.
“It does make me concerned about my children when they are getting off the bus and I don’t know, these quote, unquote bullets have names on them or not,” he said.
Police say they responded to the same neighborhood on Monday, April 14, around 11 p.m. for possible shots fired.
Stacy Johnson said they are afraid to come out of their homes because of frequent gunfire.
“It’s like an everyday thing now around here and at night, it’s like we don’t really even come outside. I used to come and sit outside, now we don’t even sit outside like that anymore,” said Johnson.
