4/1 UPDATE: Old Dominion University Police announced the arrest on March 29 of 22-year-old Derik James Lochotzki. He lives on West 47th Street and is charged with one count of robbery.
He's in custody in the Norfolk Jail and has a hearing May 1.

NORFOLK -- Police are searching for a suspect that robbed a restaurant on campus at Old Dominion University Monday night. 

The incident took place around 8 p.m. at the Tropical Smoothie restaurant located on Monarch Way. 

ODU police say that's when the suspect walked up to the cashier, produced a note and demanded money. No weapon was seen, though the suspect did imply he had one. 

After receiving an unknown amount of cash, he fled the area on foot toward Killam Avenue.

The suspect is described as a white male, in his 20s, approximately 5-foot-8 and 150 pounds.  He was last seen wearing a black skull cap, long sleeved green t-shirt and black pants.  

Anyone will information is asked to call ODU police immediately at 683-4000.
