WILLIAMSBURG -- A Williamsburg man who allegedly spit on three officers following his arrest is facing four assault charges, including three felonies.
Police charged 30-year-old Jarrod A. Dolak on Wednesday with domestic assault and three counts of assault and battery, according to Maj. Greg Riley with Williamsburg Police.
Riley said officers were called to Riverside Doctors' Hospital around 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning for a reported domestic assault. The victim told police she confronted her husband about drinking and he assaulted her, Riley said.
According to Riley, Dolak was then located at a home in the 600 block of York Street and appeared to be intoxicated. He was arrested for drunk in public, then transported to Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail.
Riley said while Dolak was being questioned "he became agitated and spit on three officers, including one jail officer and two Williamsburg Police officers."
