VIRGINIA BEACH -- Police arrested Darrin Smith of Charlotte, NC after customers in Victoria's Secret say he exposed himself and performed a sex act behind a customer in the store.
Police say shoppers saw Smith masturbating Saturday night and alerted store employees. Customers and employees followed him through the mall until police were able to catch him.
Shoppers and employees at Lynnhaven and surrounding stores say the incident has them concerned for their safety.
"Watching the women it is kind of scary, he could follow them home and do something violent possibly," said Steve Hammond, who was shopping with his girlfriend Tuesday night.
Police say Smith is being held in jail without bond on charges of indecent exposure and sexual battery..
