NORFOLK -- The principal of a Norfolk middle school at the center of an SOL controversy is now on leave as the investigation continues.
Cassandra Goodwyn was principal at Lafayette-Winona Middle School.
Last week, an investigative panel accused her of coercing teachers to submit tests with irregularities to the state.
Sharon Byrdson has been named acting principal. She’s the school division’s senior director of alternative options.
Goodwyn’s status will be re-assessed at the end of the investigation.
