Hurricane Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday starts Saturday

NORFOLK- Virginians looking to load up on batteries and other household items for emergencies can can save a few bucks starting this weekend.

The Virginia Hurricane Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday is May 25 until May 31.

During that week, there is no sales tax on dozens of items that will help your home before, during and after a storm.

The list includes batteries, flashlights, weather band radios, duct tape and bottled water.
