Suffolk Home Invasion
SUFFOLK -- Two men robbed an elderly man in his home and then stole his vehicle.
The home invasion occurred around 5:30 a.m. on Custis Road in the East Suffolk Gardens neighborhood.
The 80-year-old victim was asleep when the suspects got into his home. They approached him the bedroom, pulled a gun and ransacked the house.
They left with several items and drove off in his 2002 GMC Envoy, which was found abandoned about a half mile away on Matthews Court.
He wasn't hurt and even went to work.
“I’m feeling a little apprehensive about returning, but my children have already looked into getting an alarm system,” he said.
