VIRGINIA BEACH -- Many Hampton Roads localities are taking part in Historic Garden Week this week.

Through the weekend, visitors will see gardens at the peak of Virginia's springtime color and homes filled with flower arrangements created by Garden Club of Virginia members.

In Hampton Roads, homes and gardens are open in Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Newport News, Hampton, Yorktown, Gloucester and the Northern Neck.

Virginia Beach's tour is in the waterfront neighborhood by the Lesner Bridge over Lynnhaven Inlet. There are five private homes, one garden and six historic properties on the Virginia Beach tour for 35.00 per person, $15.00 for single site admission. Children (ages 6-12) half price; 5 and under free. Tickets may be purchased at any of the listed private homes.
