HAMPTON-Cities and counties across the ABC13 viewing area are dealing with the aftermath of a deep snow.

Hampton received about 8 inches of snow Tuesday evening and into Wednesday morning.

High on the priority list is clearing the roads so people can safely venture out. The main roads, like Mercury Blvd., are fairly clear, but residential streets are icy and packed with snow.

A byproduct of plowing, though, is that snow gets pushed to the side, sometimes making it difficult to move in and out of some side roads.

City officials say they'll continuing to treat roads with salt and brine throughout the day Thursday.
