Governor Pat McCrory released the following statement concerning government operations and employees:

“Weather conditions will only get worse overnight across our state and I want to re-emphasize that people should stay off the roads,” said Governor McCrory. “We are under a state of emergency. However, essential government operations never shut down. Therefore, I’m encouraging state employees to work from home if they can. For state workers not involved with public health, safety and emergency operations, our adverse weather policy is in effect.  With the potential of power outages, and hazardous driving conditions, we are advising employees to remain safe at home and off the roads.”
