NORFOLK - Construction crews hit a water main, creating a gusher on a Norfolk street.
A 13News viewer said water had been shooting in the air on Marne Avenue since around 9:00 a.m.
Harry C. Kenyon with the Norfolk Dept. of Public Utilities says a contractor hit the 6” water line.
Water had to be shut off to homes in the 2900 and 3000 block of Marne Ave. to get to the main. Kenyon said the repairs were done around 1:00 p.m. and the water was back on.
