Fire damaged the home on Ferguson Cove.

NEWPORT NEWS -- Fire damaged a home in Newport News early Tuesday.
Firefighters arrived on Ferguson Cove around 4:30 a.m. to find flames coming from the home above the garage.
It took about half an hour to get the fire under control, according to fire officials.
Everyone in the home got out safely.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
