VIRGINIA BEACH -- A dog was rescued from a burning townhome in Va. Beach Friday afternoon.
Crews arrived to find fire on the first floor and lots of smoke on the second floor of the unit on Woodburne Drive.
Investigators say it appears the fire started in the kitchen area.
The dog was given oxygen via a specially-designed pet mask and then taken to the animal hospital to continue treatment.
No one was hurt, according to fire officials.
