SUFFOLK -- Fire and Rescue crews worked a woods fire Sunday afternoon in the 1100 block of Nansemond Parkway.

The call about the fire came at 3:37 p.m. Emergency workers got there at 3:45 p.m. They saw heavy smoke coming from an area behind a home in Magnolia Lakes Trailer Park.

Crews declared the fire under control at 4:14 p.m. They stayed in the area for more than an hour, wetting down the ground and putting out hot spots

No one was hurt. No homes were damaged.

Investigators are not sure of the cause.
