TOANO-Crews responded to a bottling plant fire Sunday morning.
It happened shortly after 11, at the Owens-Brockway Glass Containers plant on Industrial Blvd.
Bill Apperson of the James City-Bruton Volunteer Fire Department told WVEC.com that the fire started in the basement, and traveled towards the ceiling.
The roof suffered moderate damage, but employees at the plant managed to escape to safety.
No one was injured.
