Maternity Boutique clothing drive
VIRGINIA BEACH -- A maternity store is collecting clothing for women and children who are victims of domestic violence.
Maternity Boutique, in conjunction with Samaritan House, is running the Times 'R Tough campaign.
Ali Allred, who has two children, dropped off a lot of items Friday.
"I couldn't carry it all today," she said. "I'll definitely be making sure I get those to Samaritan House. They need to be used by people who need them, they don't need to be in my garage."
Vicki Cope with Maternity Boutique says people have been generous.
Samaritan House is a homeless and domestic violence shelter that serves about 300 children a year.
"Being able to provide new and gently-used clothing to a family that comes in, that does not have anything, that's just fled with the clothes on their back, is very important to us," says Rebecca Headings with Samaritan House.

"Regardless of what you think you have or don't have, you've got something that you can give," she notes.
The clothing drive runs through Sunday and culminates with prizes and festivities.
Maternity Boutique is located in Hilltop East Shopping Center on Laskin Road.
