Police: Armed suspect robs CVS Pharmacy in Virginia Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH -- A pharmacist was robbed at gunpoint in Virginia Beach Wednesday morning. 

The incident happened at the CVS store in the 6000 block of Indian River Road just after 4 a.m., Virginia Beach police said. 

The armed suspect got away with an unknown amount of prescription drugs and was last seen running away on foot. 

The suspect is described as a white male, 20 to 30 years old, 6’2” to 6’5”, 175 to 190 pounds, wearing a dark-colored jacket, red bandanna, dark-colored jeans, white gloves, armed with a silver revolver, and carrying a backpack.

Nobody was injured during the ordeal.
