NORFOLK -- Hundreds of kids will be playing soccer this weekend and helping charities in Hampton Roads.

For more than 10 years, Charity Kicks has been helped children's charities -- ForKids, St. Mary's Home for Disabled Children and Edmarc Hospice for Children.

On August 9 at the soccer stadium at Old Dominion University, young athletes will learn the basics or get help improving their performance from ODU's Men and Women’s intercollegiate players and their coaches. The clinic is for K-8 players (ages 12 and under).

Officials say entry fees helped raise more than $10,000 in 2010 and again in 2011. The goal this year is $25,000.
