VIRGINIA BEACH -- You can walk a mile or five this Sunday and you'll be supporting I Need A Lighthouse.

The annual Beacon of Hope Walk is May 18 at the 24th Street Park at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. After the walk, stay around for the Family Fest, which will feature live entertainment, food and many family activities.

All proceeds from the race support the programs of I Need A Lighthouse, Inc., a Teen Depression and Suicide Education and Awareness Program. It's mission is to reduce the loss and suffering from teen and young adult depression, suicide, and suicidal behavior through educational programs and community partnerships.

On-site registration is from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.
