VIRGINIA BEACH -- Jordan Ceprece Anderson, 20, was sentenced to 35 years in prison by Circuit Court Judge Edward W. Hanson Jr. for three counts of robbery and use of a firearm Tuesday. 

According to the prosecutor, on April 20, 21, and 22, Anderson and an accomplice committed three armed robberies in Virginia Beach - Super Cuts on Diamond Springs Road,  Burger King on Laskin Road and Hardee’s on Dorset Avenue. 

Anderson became a suspect in the robberies after attempting to rob officers with the Norfolk Police Department Vice and Narcotics Division on April 23, 2012. 

Anderson is serving 10 years in prison for that offense, with an additional 18 years of suspended prison time.

Anderson was apprehended hours after the Norfolk robbery when he went to the hospital for treatment for his gunshot wound. 

Ultimately he confessed to his involvement in the Virginia Beach robberies and pleaded guilty on October 15, 2012.
