Virginia Beach Trench Rescue
VIRGINIA BEACH-- Firefighters rescued a construction worker Thursday from a 12 to 14 foot trench after worker was hit by a pipe.
The accident happened around 4pm at the corner of Crimson Holley Lane and Lynnhaven Parkway. The fire department's trench rescue team was able to hoist the worker out of the trench in about 20 to 30 minutes, according to Chief Ken Pravetz.
The worker was transported to a local hospital with non lifethreatening injuries.
