VIRGINIA BEACH -- City leaders are holding a public town hall meeting Tuesday night to get the public's opinion on the proposed sports arena.

Residents can weigh in on the plans from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday night at the Virginia Beach Convention Center on 19th Street.

Chris O'Brien, creator of the the Facebook group, "Bring the Sacramento Kings to Virginia Beach" says he expects close to 100 supporters at the meeting.  "Even if we get half of those people out tonight I think it will be a good showing for the Brings the Kings folks."

Funding remains the biggest issue, with no clear outlook on where the money will come from.

"There's going to be bumps on the road. We knew that. This is going to be a lengthy fight and we knew that from the beginning, but we're definitely not giving up. We're looking forward to moving on from here,"  O'Brien said.

The city council already approved moving ahead with negotiations that could lead to an arena being built next to the convention center.
