HAMPTON -- Hampton Police have released preliminary arrest information following last weekend's Phish concerts.
According to Cpl. Mary Shackelford, 20 concert-goers were arrested for narcotics in and around Hampton Coliseum during the three-day event.
Shackelford says there were 8 arrests on Friday, 8 on Saturday and four people were taken into custody Sunday on various charges including possession of drugs and distribution of narcotics.
“The Division is exceedingly pleased with the patrons who elected to attend PHISH while they were in concert this past weekend. Our goal was for the fans to have a safe and enjoyable experience, and it appears that they did. There were no major incidents that occurred and we look forward to them returning to our City,” Shackelford said.
