NEWPORT NEWS -- Police arrested Joshua Johnson Caffey Sunday, after receiving a tip about where the accused killer might be at about 1:30 p.m. Sunday.

Officers said 23-year-old Caffey was in the driver's seat of a vehicle on Colony Road. They took him into custody without a problem.

Police believe Caffey shot and killed 41-year-old Vidal Lamont Sills at about 10:20 p.m. Friday at Aqueduct Apartments. Sills was visiting someone in the complex. Master Police Officer Harold Eley said Caffey went to the same apartment a short time later, and that Caffey and Sills got into an argument. They took the fight outside. At some point, officers said Caffey shot Sills at least twice then left.

Caffey faces charges of  Murder and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony.

Caffey is in he Newport News City Jail.
