VIRGINIA BEACH -- An 11-year-old was in good condition at Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters Wednesday night, hours after lifeguars pulled him from a pool run by the Timberlake Community Association.
"I heard the lifeguard on stand jump into the water," explained Tyler Webb who was another lifeguard at the pool located on Alder Circle.
"The ma ran over and said that the child gets seizures a lot, and so that's what we figured it was, so we waited for the seizures to stop," Webb told 13News Now. "Then, he still wasn't responsive, but he had a pulse and everything."
Chief Ed Brazle with Virginia Beach Emergency Medical Services, the boy had not regained consciousness when a crew flew him to the hospital.
A spokesman for CHKD said the 11-year-old would stay in the hosptial for observation overnight.
