NEWPORT NEWS - One of two teens injured in a crash last month has died.

Rakeem Pressey of Williamsburg passed away Monday night.

Pressey was a standout in three sports at , playing football, basketball and running track for the Eagles.

He and his 17-year-old brother were in a car that ran off the road, struck a tree and overturned in the median at Maxwell Lane and Warwick Blvd. on June 24.

Rakeem was in the back seat; his brother was a front-seat passenger.

The driver of the 1997 Mitsubishi, an 18-year-old, wasn't hurt.

Police say charges are pending in the case.

According to the Virginia Gazette, Pressey was set to attend Saint Paul's College in Lawrenceville this fall.
