Denbigh Mobile Home Park fire
NEWPORT NEWS -- Fire destroyed one mobile home and damaged another at Denbigh Mobile Home Park.
Crews were called to the park on Stardust Circle just before 11:00 a.m.
The residents weren't home at the time.
A neighbor says she saw smoke and flames and tried to put out the fire, but her garden hose was frozen.
At least three people, two adults and a child, have been displaced, according to Deputy Chief Scott Liebold.
The Red Cross is helping them with food and housing vouchers.
Firefighters remain on the scene and will work to determine what caused the fire, but they say all indications are that it was accidental in nature.
