ELIZABETH CITY -- A 24-year-old man has died after being shot in Elizabeth City.
Jonathan Carson was found with a gunshot wound Monday at an apartment in the 600 block of West Colonial Avenue. A friend of Carson's called for help.
An autopsy was performed and investigators later ruled his death as a homicide.
Authorities continue to investigate. They have not released any information on a suspect.
