VIRGINIA BEACH -- Two people were hurt when fire started in a bedroom and spread to the bathroom of a home in Va. Beach.

Crews were called to the 300 block of Dillon Drive around 10:30 p.m. Thursday.

One person was burned and the other had problems from smoke inhalation and both were taken to the hospital, said Battalion Chief Jack Crandle.

A firefighter at the scene said they found one of the victims in the hallway and the other had gotten outside.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
