UPDATE 9/2: Mitchell R. Grice, 35, is charged with malicious wounding, use of a firearm, and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon in connection with the shooting of a 14-year-old on August 24.
Grice is currently being held in Norfolk City Jail.
NORFOLK -- A teenager is recovering after being shot Sunday night in Norfolk.
Police say the found the 14-year-old boy around 9:35 p.m. at the Masonic Lodge at 2313 Tidewater Drive.
Officer Daniel Hudson told WVEC.com there was what sounds like a party at the lodge at the time.
The suspect has been described as a black male with a medium complexion, approximately 5’6”, goatee, wearing a black fitted style baseball hat, and a white t-shirt.
The victim should recover, police said.
