NORFOLK --?Three children living at in Norfolk are being treated for H1N1 "swine flu."
The Norfolk Health Department notified the facility of results on Monday.
The three, ages 10, 12 and 17, live in the same unit of the facility on Kempsville Circle. They've been isolated and are expected to recover, officials say.
Activities at the facilities continue; however, they're being conducted in individual living spaces, not in classrooms and therapy rooms.
St. Mary's CEO says extra steps have been taken with visitors and employees to make sure the flu doesn't spread.
There are 88 residents at the home.
Symptoms of H1N1 include fever, cough and sore throat, headache, chills, fatigue and body aches
Persons with H1N1 influenza are contagious for up to seven days after the onset of illness and possibly longer if they are still symptomatic.
You can help prevent the spread of H1N1 or any virus by covering your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze and washing your hand with soap and water or alcohol-based cleaners, especially after you've coughed or sneezed.
