HAMPTON -- A man from Smithfield and a woman from Hampton are charged in a late-night convenience store robbery.
Police charged John Alfred Butler, 22, saying he is one of two men who pulled guns inside the store in the 100 block of W. Mercury Blvd. around 11:00 p.m. Monday.
They got cash from the register and left, according to investigators.
Timara Patrice Bowden, 19, of Hampton, is charged with one count of accessory after the fact.
She was driving the car and knew the men intended to rob the store, said Hampton Police spokeswoman Cpl. Allison Good.
Meantime, the search continues for the other gunman, identified by police as Roderick Lamont Spratley. The 22-year-old Newport News man faces a robbery charge.
