What is it? a rectangle pan with a removable tray insert that allows you to easily lift your meatloaf out once it's cooked
What does it claim? that your meatloaf will never fall apart
Who tested it? Virginia Beach resident Marybeth Gradel
What Are The Instructions? First, you need to put a light coating of non-stick spray on both the pan and the removable tray insert. Then pre-heat the oven and prepare your meatloaf according to your recipe. Once the meatloaf is ready, place it into the Perfect Meatloaf Pan. Flatten the top of the meatloaf into the pan, and if you want, add a sauce over the top and bake accordingly.
Once it's cooked, use oven mitts to remove the pan from the oven and allow it to sit and cool for a few minutes. Remember to grab the pan and not the handles of the removable tray when taking it out of the oven.
Once your meatloaf has set for a few minutes, use the oven mitts again to grip both handles of the tray and remove the meatloaf from the pan. Place your meatloaf on a heat-safe cutting surface. You may need to slightly loosen the meatloaf around the edges in the pan before removing.
To clean the Perfect Meatloaf Pan. use soap and water or just place it in the dishwasher.
Did it work? Marybeth was very impressed. She usually has to cut her meatloaf out of the glass pan she normally uses. But with the Perfect Meatloaf Pan Set, she pulled her meatloaf right out and it was perfectly cooked. She really likes that the removable tray has holes in the bottom so excess grease is left at the bottom of the pan and not baked into the meatloaf. She also felt like the design of the pan helped to elevate her meatloaf and allowed the heat to circulate evenly and bake her meatloaf perfectly. <
Cost/Availability? You can purchase the Perfect Meatloaf Pan Set for $14.99 at area Walgreens stores.
Some important things to note about the Perfect Meatloaf Pan -- it should never be used in the microwave or under a broiler in your oven. You should not clean the pan set until it has cooled completely. Never expose the pan set to temperatures about 410 degrees and do not use hard/sharp kitchen utensils that may damage the surface of the pan.
