What is it?  A silicone mat that is smooth on one side and raised on the other

What does it claim? To be a unique slip resistant, stain proof ironing mat

Who tested it ? Virginia Beach resident and busy mother of six Liz Needham.

What Are The Instructions? This product is pretty simple to use. It's shaped like the bottom of your iron. So when you're ironing instead of having to leave your iron standing upright you can lay it down on the Iron-On-Mat to make sure it stays steady , just make sure you always place it on a level surface, and is less likely to fall.  It is heat resistant up to 500 degrees and slip resistant. It can be used during the ironing process and as a place to cool down your iron afterwards.  It's important to remember that you should always allow your Iron-On-Mat to cool down before handling.  You should never leave a hot iron unattended.  If your Iron-On-Mat is cut or pierced you should not use it and if it gets dirty, just put it in the dishwasher for cleaning.

Did it work? Our tester was pretty impressed.  She was looking for something to make her feel more comfortable when using the iron around her children. They like to do crafts that involve the iron and she always felt uneasy about having the iron sitting around in the upright position.  With the Iron-On-Mat she says she's much more comfortable using the iron with the kids, and now she has a great and safe place to let the iron cool down as well.

Cost/Availability? We purchased The Iron-On Mat at Walmart for less than $5.
