What is it? A stick up light bulb.
What does it claim? That no outlet or wiring is needed to make InstaBulb work. It also claims to be easy to install and be shatter-proof.
Who tested it? Brian Fiske with Acme Animal Control.
What Are The Instructions? The first thing you need to do is install four "AA" alkaline batteries inside the InstaBulb battery compartment. Replace the battery compartment cover and pull the string to test the light. It should go on and off easily. Now, you're ready to mount your InstaBulb. You need to make sure whatever location you pick that you leave enough room to be able to slide out the bulb unit from the base. Once you've picked the spot, just peel back the paper from the back of the base. Then, stick the base to the clean dry area and slide the unit back into the base. Just pull the cord to turn the light on and off. Keep in mind making sure you turn your InstaBulb off after you're done using it will help to extend your battery life.
Did it work? Our tester was very impressed. In his line of work he is often in some pretty dark places that could really benefit from InstaBulb.
Cost/Availability? We purchased our InstaBulb 2-pack at Rite Aid for $11.
