What is it? a step-on dust pan that cleans the "dust bunnies" out of your broom
What does it claim? that Broom Groomer can give you hand-free sweeping that won't let dirt slip through the cracks.
Who tested it? Virginia Beach High School Seniors and friends Maddy Perry and Meghan Collins
What Are The Instructions? It's a dust pan, so it's not that difficult to use. What makes the Broom Groomer different from other dust pans is that it's got a row of rubber teeth protruding from the back end of the dust pan to clean the broom's bristles after you sweep.
It also has a step-on handle, so your foot can steady the pan for hands-free sweeping. When you go to sweep up dirt, just make sure the rubber front lip is kept flush against the floor so that nothing slips through the cracks. Then sweep away and as you bring the broom into the dust pan, you can "rake" it against the back of the Broom Groomer to get all the dirt out.
Did it work? Our testers were very impressed. They liked that they didn't have to bend over to hold the dust pan in place when they were sweeping. Broom Groomer helped make the job on sweeping the floor something that can be easily done by one person.
Cost/Availability? You can purchase the Broom Groomer at Target for $9.99.
