NORFOLK – Mae Stephens likes onions and potatoes but doesn’t enjoying chopping them.
“I really haven't found anything that does a large quantity in a short amount of time, especially when you're in a hurry," she notes.
Stephens hopes the Vidalia Slice Wizard, with five different blades, will make slicing and dicing faster and easier.
First, she chooses the blade – the thick slicer - but has a hard time figuring out how to insert it.
After figuring it out, she put a potato onto the prongs of the safety holder and started slicing.
"Oh, that's neat. Look at that," she says.
With the right number of thick slices, she changes to the thin slicer. Then she tests the thin julienne blade on a tomato.
The real test, however, comes when she uses the thick julienne blade on an onion.
"Oh, look at that. I like it. I like it,” she said, commenting on how fast the job got done. "I wasn't tearing and I like that."
After testing the blades, Stephens say the Vidalia Slice Wizard works.
"Yes, for me it works. I like it. Would i buy it? Yes. It's fast. It's easy. It's effortless. It just makes it so it's enjoyable."
The Vidalia Slice Wizard costs $19.99.
