Internet saves many holiday shopping headaches

In the rush for last minute Christmas gifts, many people are avoiding the crush of shoppers and buying online.
"You go online here, gets sent right to your door, saves you gas, saves you time. Love it," says Sabrina Stuard.
She’s a die-hard computer shopper.
"Clothes mostly and, you know, baby stuff. I planned almost my entire wedding online, too," she adds.
Sabrina also buys groceries online, bought a camcorder for her husband and purchased a laptop.
"It saves you a lot of hassle. You don't have to wait for the dressing room, you don't have to push people out of your way to get there.”
She admits she didn’t always love online shopping.
"The first time I ever did it, I was waiting, looking in my checking account, please come out, please come out, please come out and it did, not a problem. I was hooked."
In this age of identity theft, there are some ways to secure your credit card and other personal information: deal with well-known companies, use your credit card, check your account and check privacy policies of the sites you use.
“When you know you're on a secure site, a little icon will pop up. If you don't see it, you have to be a little leery,” Stuard warns.
You also can check with the Better Business Bureau to check any complaints that have been filed against Websites.
