HAMPTON -- It's been a spring tradition in Hampton for more than 30 years - the Spring Carnival in the parking lot of Hampton Coliseum.

It opens today, May 24 and closes down at the end of the day June 3. Popular rides include the giant Ferris wheel, which you can see from the Interstate and the fast-moving Fire Ball. Of course, there are plenty of rides for young children and many carnival games.

It's $3.00 to get in and then ride tickets are $1.00 each. Rides are more than 1 ticket, officials noted.

You can purchase an unlimited ride ticket for $20 weekdays and $25 on weekends and for Memorial Day. Military families can save $5 on unlimited ride passes with valid military ID. Children 5 and under receive free admission.

The Carnival opens at 6:00 p.m. each week night and at noon on Saturday, Sunday and Memorial day.

Amusements of America brings the family fun to Hampton beginning tonight.

For information, call 838-4203 or visit the Hampton Coliseum Website.
