NORFOLK -- Pedal power is coming to downtown Norfolk next month.
Seven Cities Rickshaws will be beating feet on streets with 25MPH speed limits. City council approved the ordinance this month.
Operators must wear uniforms and badges that will be issued along with operating permits. The company has been traveling around Town Center in Virginia Beach.
Andrew Bargy is the executive director of Seven Cities Rickshaws.
"All the local neighborhoods call us up and we go pick them up," said Bargy. "It's going to be real good, real good for the people of Norfolk."
The Virginian Pilot reports passengers can't be charged more than $2 a block, $25 per half-hour or $45 per hour.
