There are two new auto recalls today.  Honda is recalling 25,000 Odyssey minivans because the side air bags may not deploy during a crash.  No accidents or crashes have been reported.  General Motors is recalling 50,000 Cadillac SRX SUVs from model year 2013.  The company wants to fix a computer error that can delay acceleration for three or four seconds.

J Crew is trying to appeal to budget conscious shoppers.  The company has come up with a new store format called J Crew Mercantile.  It will feature merchandise and prices closer to what shoppers might expect to find at a J Crew outlet store.  The popular retail chain had a difficult holiday season and sees offering bargains as a way to lure in frugal shoppers.

Speaking of frugal, a state-by-state breakdown of the nation's best restaurant tippers is out. It shows West Virginians are the most generous tippers, giving more than 20%.  Folks in Nevada are not as generous.  They tip about 14.6% and the rest of us are right in the middle.
