Consumer Minute: Apple goes historic and Google goes hi-tech

The once popular clothing company Abercrombie and Fitch is making a major change amid declining sales. Abercrombie & Fitch Co. is finally shedding its traditional logo-focused apparel. Those clothes made the brand one of the most sought after among teens in the past two decades. The shedding of logos on most Abercrombie clothing is the company's latest re-branding effort as it tries to regain its footing from more than a decade of bad publicity.

Apple's latest product launch is set for September 9 and word is out it will be held at a special place. The event will be in the same Silicon Valley venue where Apple's late co-founder, Steve Jobs, took the wraps off the original Mac computer 30 years ago.  Many are speculating that this venue is a signal at just how big this event is for the company
 
Speaking of technology, Google just announced they are developing airborne drones capable of flying on  their own and delivering anything from candy to medicine. The company is hoping its drones will create new economic growth by moving goods around more efficiently.
