Peninsula realtors say it's helped a sluggish housing market.

"There are going to be some people who are going to be kicking themselves," believes Rebecca Grossman, CEO of the Va. Peninsula Realtors Association.

Six people who just bought townhomes in one Hampton complex are thrilled they qualified for the credit.

"It's a great feeling. ?The process is over. I'm all moved in, I'm loving it," said Jacquetta Rogers.

You get the credit if the home purchase closes before December 1.
