A sports injury is making everyday life a little more difficult for Katie Claxton. So she agreed to test The Gopher because it claims to make life a little easier.
The Gopher's first test was to pick up a spice jar. Then Katie reached used it to get snacks off the top of the refrigerator where she couldn't reach. Then, she grabbed some candy out of a dish.
Claxton even tried it on hard-to-reach glasses that were on the top shelf. "I liked it. I can't say that I would need it all the time, but for things high up and things I wouldn't be able to reach necessarily, it's good."
What she really liked about it were the suction cups, which held tight to the different objects Claxton reached for.
In fact, she used the Gopher to change a light bulb in her ceiling fan that was hanging several feet above her. "I could reach higher up where I normally couldn't reach even if I was fine."
Claxton found the Gopher was also handy for picking up things off the floor. It saved her some back bending.
So, Claxton agrees, The Gopher works. "I'd say so. I'd say that you should go get one."
