LANCASTER, Pa. (AP) — Manufacturer Herley Industries, Inc. won a $1.3 million contract to build microwave hardware for an electronic attack aircraft for the U.S. Navy.
The company said Tuesday the work will be done by its Herley Lancaster division. The contract is for delivery over the next year. Herley Lancaster President Howard Eckstein said he expected follow-on contracts to be signed in coming years from the deal.
Herley Industries designs and develops microwave technology products for the defense, aerospace and medical industries. It has seven manufacturing locations and approximately 1,000 employees.
The company's shares fell 3 cents to $16.49 during afternoon trading.
