NEWPORT NEWS (AP) -- Three daily U.S. Airways flights from Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport to Charlotte, N.C., will be upgraded to larger aircraft.
The Peninsula Airport Commission said Tuesday that US Airways subsidiary PSA Airlines will upgrade the flights to 67-seat CRJ-700 Aircraft, effective June 1. The airline will offer business class for the first time since the early 1990s.
"We feel that these larger aircraft will be a welcome addition to our business and leisure travelers. The extra seat capacity will allow for more passengers to use PHF,” stated LaDonna Finch, chair of the Peninsula Airport Commission.
US Airways offers a total seven daily flights to Charlotte.
