Target job fair
VIRGINIA BEACH - 1,000 people showed up to apply for 300 jobs at the new Target store getting ready to open in Va. Beach.
Thursday was the first of a three-day job fair at the Westin hotel at 4535 Commerce Street. Company officials talked with prospective employees, took applications and conducted interviews.
The hiring event will focus on recruiting candidates for hourly team member positions across all areas of the store," Erin Conroy with Target told WVEC.com. "Target places a priority on ensuring our compensation packages are competitive with retail and other service industries in the communities we serve. Additionally, Target offers flexible scheduling, team member discounts and access to financial, legal and family resources."
The store at 4576 Virginia Beach Blvd. (near the intersection of Virginia Beach Boulevard and Independence Boulevard) is set to open in October.
If you can't attend the job fair, you can apply online or at in-store kiosks located in any Target store. p;
