HAMPTON -- When Peninsula Town Center has its grand opening in March, dozens of storefronts will be filled.
On Tuesday, the developer announced the names of more than 50 new tenants, many businesses which are new to the region and the state.
CineBistro is making its first dip into Virginia business. It will offer first-run movies, fine dining and bowling -- all in a luxury setting.
"We really believe that this is a concept that no one in this area has seen and when you combine that with the posh style of Peninsula Town Center, our brands are very well aligned and our visions are very well aligned," said Fred Meyers.
Other first in the region stores are The Wine Loft, dELiA’s and Shoe Woo.
Several of the 15 new restaurants are making their Virginia debuts, including Bensi’s Ristorante Italiano, Huey’s Diner, Kenji
Fusion and (coach) Frank Beamer’s American Grill.
There are several retail stores and restaurants already open for business in the old Coliseum Mall area, including Macy's, Target, JC Penney, Five Guys Burgers and Fries and Mattress Discounters.
Raymond Tripp, Peninsula Town Center General Manager, said ahead of Tuesday's announcement that “Peninsula Town Center is on target to become a premier mixed-use destination for the region.”
The official grand opening is set for March 11.
