Sula KimNews Anchor/Reporter |
Sula Kim joined WVEC in September of 2005 and is now the weekend evening anchor and a weekday reporter.
Before that she spent four cold winters in Green bay Wisconsin as the morning reporter for WBAY-TV (ABC). While she misses being a Cheesehead, she does not miss doing live shots in the cold, bundled up in 5 layers of sweaters, talking about the "slick" and "wet" roads.
Before that, she spent a year in Lubbock Texas as general assignment reporter.
Sula is originially from Los Angeles, California, where her family resides. Her passion for news was sparked during the 1992 LA riots. As she watched the events unfold before her eyes, she discovered the power of TV news.
Sula graduated from the University of California San Diego in 1999, where she studied communications and enjoyed the sun way too much.
In her spare time, Sula likes to do yoga, play tennis, and listen to music. She is an active member of the Tidewater Korean Baptist Church in Virginia Beach.
